GET Security Update

As part of the ongoing campus effort to increase the security of confidential and/or sensitive information and campus resources, the University has employed another layer of security to help protect users’ privacy when they log on to the GET student administration system.  The University will be better able to authenticate users, process online business transactions, and encrypt sensitive data.

If you are viewing this message because you have attempted to reach GET using a bookmarked favorite, the bookmark no longer applies due to this security enhancement.

We highly recommend that you follow these steps to correct the situation:

  1. Delete your existing bookmark favorite. For more information on how to do so with Internet Explorer, click here.
  2. Click on the following link to reach GET: https://get.calstatela.edu/
Note: Notice that the URL now contains the protocol https://
  3. Once you see the GET website, bookmark it as a new favorite. Use the new bookmark to reach GET from now on.

You might see a Security Alert pop-up box (see Figure 1) that indicates you are entering a secure website.  Click on OK to continue.

Unless you previously selected not to show this warning, when you leave the GET site, another Security Alert pop-up box will appear indicating that you are leaving a secure Internet connection (see Figure 2). Click Yes to continue.
